Burger King in Nuremberg! Day Three of Road Trip: We fetched our would-be host from München to our next pitstop ---Nuremberg. I could see the synonymous word for this town originating from its dark history. The Nazi trials, museums and historical artifacts remains attached to this amazing castle-filled city. We headed to the stadium where former Nazi parades in its glory days took place. I even had the chance to stand at the same podium which Adolf used as his speech platform to embed his nasty propaganda to his audience. (goosebumps all over!) We then made our way to a coliseum-looking building which was an unfinished Hitler-project. The ruins remained in good condition but to our unfortunate timing, the Document museum was shut under renovation period. As I put myself up as a Total Immersion Theory subject, there are several factors which I have not highlighted in the study and severe cultural hindrances that may have been overlooked. The first factor would be the extremely low temperatures during winter which may not be conducive for 'immersion' in a regular day-to-day situation. With the help of amazing friends here, I have always been a part of the social-circle with ease. I find myself in the presence of young,educated Austrians in their mid-20s in the midst of spending a fantastic evening out in town. It came as a shock for me to find almost all businesses (except restaurants)cease operations after six and nothing is open during Sundays. Only one mall exists in the entire city :EUROPARK. SNOW!!! I woke my flatmates with this excitement. This was the first time I have seen snowfall. I was exhilarated and completely thrown off the fact that this soft white stuff is now falling from the sky. So that what happens when the rain falls under zero degrees! Cool!
