The Care-free Caribbeans

I've heard of the frivolous lifestyle of the Carribic nations but never had I expected how chill these people were until I went over. Crossing the pond via Heathrow, I arrived in Nassau. To my shock, none of the currency exchange desks were open! A word to the wise for those going over to the Bahamas- there are no currency exchange counters at the airport, bring your own dollars! I did sort that issue with the kind help of some angels and were able to proceed with my birthday vacay!

Having travelled all over the world, I'm embarrassed to admit that I have not had the chance to visit my own neighbour, Thailand until I was 33. Come International Muay Thai Day in Bangkok, I decided to catch the "Muay Thai Live: The Legend Live" show at the Asiatique Bangkok arena in early 2019. I was left speechless at how these incredibly fit fighters managed to execute every move without fail. Lots of somersaults, fight simulation and high jumps were incorporated in the theatrics of the performance. No one was allowed to film inside the auditorium so I am not able to give you a preview on what the show was all about. Basically it is like a musical, except instead of singing and dancing, the performers fight each other. I did stick around for the actual muay thai matches after the show. Wien im Winter

Well, it has been a while since I updated my blog. It is now starting to resemble a common travel blog. Not that I have anything against travelogs, travelling or blogging in general, however, I feel there are just too many of them out there. Anywho, here are some new pictures from the winter trip to Vienna. A photogenic squirrel I love ducks! On the hike to Schönbrunn Palace Ok so I took a couple of animal pictures and will get more uploaded in due time. During the three-day trip, we visited the Schoenbrunn palace, St. Steven's cathedral, Cafe Nekko (full of big cats), and a bookstore called Antiquariat which offers imported books from all over the world as well as a famous naschmarkt in the city, and Zum Gschupftn Ferdl, where we had Viennese Schoerle.
